“Jellyfish”: Dripping Glass Tables Sculptures by Daniela Forti.

14

Artist Daniela Forti was born in Rome & then moved to Tuscany, Italy who create stunningly surreal and unique works of translucent art, and they might remind you of a familiar sea creature. She produces fantastic art works of dripped glass and opened her workshop in Tuscany.

Daniela started collaborating with glass makers and researching the dualism between light and glass. She refers to the pieces as “Jellyfish” because each piece is hand crafted using the “vetrofusione” technique of melting glass. These solid pieces appear to balance like a small platter or table atop colorful, spindly drips that somehow manage to support the weight above.

Here are some of the Glass Tables With Dripping Tentacles Art created by Daniela Forti. Many examples of her work are on view (and also available) over at Artemest.
