We’ve seen food art like this from the moms Li Ming and Harti Wijaya, who specially prepared their children’s meals to help them take more interest in their food, and to eat healthier, respectively.
One edible art connoisseur that continues to contribute to this tasty trend is Japanese Instagrammer Kinakobun who creates colorful Bento box art for her husband with a pop culture twist. The work is inspired by pop culture, with references to characters from Hayao Miyazaki films, an animated bear named Rilakkuma, and more. Many other cute characters make appearances in the artistic arrangements, including a flower-covered Totoro and a stargazing Minion.
The Kinakobun’s works can take up to two hours to make, but considering how impressive, they are, it’s clearly worth it. If you’d like to see more of her culinary creations be sure to follow her on Instagram.
