Dina Brodsky is a contemporary living in realist miniaturist, painter and curator New York City. She was educated at the University of Massachussets Amhers,t and the New York Academy of Art, where she received her MFA. The endeavor has since grown to incorporate more rare and exotic birds depicted on everything from ballpoint pen to watercolor and gouache.
The techniques used to create Italian Renaissance-era fresco paintings, 15th-century Flemish portraits, illuminated manuscripts, and Islamic miniature art have all played a role in Brodsky’s work. The bird paintings have become so popular with fans that she’s created a dedicated Instagram account to collect them all.
