People think that pencils are needed only for drawing and ear picking, but Jennifer Maestre doesn’t think so. The Artist always use things other than for their intended purpose. Jennifer Maestre was born 1959 in Johannesburg, South Africa and now based in Massachusetts, United State of America who is internationally known for her unique pencil sculptures.
Jennifer graduate of Wellesley College and holds a BFA degree from the Massachusetts College of Art. To make the pencil sculptures, She takes hundreds of pencils, cut them into 1-inch sections, drill a hole in each section, sharpen them all and sew them together.
