Shirley Wong is a born vegetarian artist based in Hong Kong who creates beautiful and delicious food art. She is currently pursuing a BA from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), majoring in illustration and graphic design. She mostly creates character Bento’s like the ones in popular Japanese cartoons, comic books and video games. Shirley says “Bento, cooking and food are things I enjoy very much. My head is often bursting with ideas on what to cook. Character bentos are my strength but I also love making traditional bento, japanese food, breads, tarts and sweets.”
It was a fun and interactive session, where the trainer Shirley herself introduced the basics of sushi art making and dressing it up in Kawaii Deco, which means cute decoration in Japanese.
