Self thought artist Minka Gillian is a sculptor artist residing in Sydney, Australia who creates outstanding woven polyester mono filament sculptures.
Minka uses polyester monofilament, recycled copper wire to makes these amazing woven sculptures. Her attraction to synthetic material is mostly due to its translucency and seemingly fragile, delicate appearance, which once woven is in fact very strong. These sculptures process is very slow and time consuming, some sculptures can take months to finish.
