Cape Town based Self-taught realist painter Peter Höhsl was born 1967 in Windhoek, Namibia where he attended a German private school till 1986 and he started studying drama in 1990, performed in various plays, dramas and musicals. He made side by side colored pencil pet portraits to support his income, but slowly and gradually demand for the painting increased than peter left the theater and pursued a career in graphic design.

Peter moved to Vienna in 2000 where he has been working as a visual effects artist, colorist and traditional animator on numerous feature films and television series. The artist decided to become a realist painter and genuinely his paintings look realistic.
