Leon Keer born 1970, Utrecht, Netherlands is a Dutch pop surrealist artist who has created work on canvas and 3D artwork on the streets across the world. Leon Keer learnt painting through designing and producing large advertising murals for multinationals such as Coca-Cola.
Leon Keer is constantly aware of the beautiful versus the ugly, a contrast that he expresses and amplifies in his work and which he uses as a metaphor for live. His paintings reflect his thoughts and the playfulness of a children”s. Leon Keer works with a mixture of techniques, and uses a rich variety of materials for his art.
Keer says: “Every street art piece is unique and belongs to the street and its residents, the temporary fact about this art form strengthens its existence”.
