Japanese artist Amy Goda has been creating giant animals from leftover straws of rice since 2013. Every year on august 31st in Niigata, Japan people take the leftover straws from their annual rice harvest and turn them into an amazing form of art called “WARA ART” or rice straw art.
Her sculptures have been made using various techniques for e.g. the straws are attached to the wooden frames to provide stability and allow for greater size. Her incredible dinosaurs sculptures have attracted international attention, Currently her artwork is been exhibited at Uwasekigata Park, Niigata City Nishikan Ward, where they will remain until the beginning of November.
