From Old Auto Parts to Amazing Animal Sculptures by Edouard Martinet

We as human beings have a habit of discarding the old stuffs even if its an old car, bicycle and motorcycle parts or etc. But French artist Edouard Martinet creates interpretations of birds, crustaceans, insects, and other creatures with countless objects from discarded bicycles, cars, and household objects.

Martinet collects everyday objects found in flea-markets and car boot sales and transforms them into works of art. Working with a variety of refused materials such as rusted kitchen pans, typewriter keys, car lights and other scrap metals, Martinet sculpts several types of animals and insects. His sculptures are made without the use of soldering iron. He fits each component into place as if putting together a puzzle of random pieces and parts. Each piece is carefully assembled after having drafted several detailed sketches.

Martinet has won several awards and his work has been exhibited across France and in London.
